ATOMIC BLAST is a super fun game that teaches concepts of ionic and covalent bonding as well as formula writing, counting atoms, and predicting unfamiliar compounds. Players build ionic and covalent compounds from clues on the game cards in their hand. For each compound built, the player then counts the total atoms from the formula and enters that number on the Yahtzee®-like score card. Complete instructions, tutorials, and strategies are included.
Just print out all materials in color or black and white paper or card stock. Have your students fold, glue, and cut out cards and assemble the Reference charts. Tutorials,game rules ,and strategies may be printed or presented to students digitally.
